Research Scientist Opportunity

An evaluation of the MRFF Cardiovascular Health Mission is being undertaken and opens up a unique 6-month position for a Research Scientist. The role will be primarily to support the mid-term review of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Cardiovascular (CV) Health Mission.

As an organisation with access to people who understand the CV Mission and research sector, ACvA is assisting with the promotion and application process for this position.

 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the role are primarily to support the mid-term review of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Cardiovascular Health Mission, by:

  • developing a project plan to conduct a desktop scan to determine how MRFF-funded cardiovascular health research sit within the national and international research funding landscape of MRFF funded projects under the Mission, plus other cardiovascular research projects funded nationally and internationally
  • assisting in determining appropriate international comparators for the review
  • undertaking the desktop scan as per the agreed methodology
  • assisting in categorising research projects according to the Mission Roadmap priority areas

The role involves working across a collaboration between the Science Unit and the Performance & Evaluation Section in the Health and Medical Research Office.
