On Thursday 20 February we celebrated the 2024 ACvA Excellence in Cardiovascular Research Awards in Brisbane. The Awards are a chance to publicly acknowledge and celebrate the collaboration, innovation and leadership within our sector.
We had a wonderful introduction from the Honourable Ged Kearney MP, Assistant Minister for Health & Aged Care. She spoke about the importance of research and shared the significant role mentoring had played during both her nursing career and early days in parliament.
